Mr. Vinay Gupta, a technocrat from IIT Delhi, started manufacturing premium range of tapware in Delhi. He has put in 25 years in the industry mainly in developing new technologies which were hitherto not available to Indian Manufacturers and has put in very dedicated effort to bridge the gap between the Indian Technology and the German Technology. He insured that the equipment used for manufacturing were earlier imported from Germany and then giving his inputs worked with the Indian Machinery manufacturers to start manufacturing these Machines in India. He has pioneered in bringing the latest technology in the Industry to India. Mr. Gupta was instrumental in commencing the production of Single Lever Mixers with ceramic cartridges in the year 1986 in India and has the distinction of manufacturing them in India and exporting back to Germany. As an import substitution, the major Five Star Hotels in India have been using his manufactured Single Lever Mixers such as Le-Meridian, J.W. Marriot Grand Maratha, Grand Central and Hotel Regent in Mumbai, ITC Sonar Bangla in Kolkatta etc. Mr. Gupta also pioneered the Whirlpools (Jacuzzis) in the Indian Market in the year 1989 and also the Acrylic Bathtubs in larger sizes. A unique whirlpool systems in Double Shell Acrylic is being manufactured by him and exported to all European Countries. Shower panels were manufactured in India by his Company Aquaplus in the year 1994 and installed in Chola Sheraton in Chennai which is now become a very easy alternative for the Consumers to change from old fittings to new Single Lever Mixers without any renovation.
