The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) – India signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute (SRATI), Coimbatore on March 16, 2009 to offer Plumbing Education to Employment Program (PEEP).
The MoU Signing Ceremony was very successful and well attended by IPA Coimbatore Chapter members and Builders Association of India (BAI) members, Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute staff, Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College students and staff, and Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic staff.
The function was presided over by Mr. D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, and Dr. R. Rangarajan, Principal - SREC welcomed the dignitaries and invited guests.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Subhash Deshpande, Director, IAPMO-India Plumbing Codes and Standards Pvt. Ltd. in the presence of Mr. Abdul Matheen, Director, IAPMO-India.
IPA Coimbatore Chapter Chairman, Mr. Gopinath Arunachalam felicitated the delegates and appreciated the MoU for Plumbing Education to Employment Programme, which will be beneficial for all the plumbing contractors, engineers, builders, plumbers, etc.
Mr. Abdul Matheen and Mr. Subhash Deshpande informed that ‘A Trainers’ Training programme would be held in April and faculty from the United States would train two to six trainers from the Institute.
IAPMO and IPA worked together to bring out the “Uniform Plumbing Code - India” and recommended to all members to purchase “Uniform Plumbing Code - India” books and to follow the same. |
