21st Chapter Meeting of IPABC was held on 14th December 2009 at Banquet Hall, Hotel Capitol, Rajbhavan Road, Bangalore.
The meeting began with a Welcome Address by Mr. K. Venugopal, Chairman, IPABC. He welcomed and introduced the Guests of Honour, Mr. Blane Judd, Executive Board Member, WPC and Chief Executive & Secretary of Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, UK, and Mr. Allen Inlow, Sr. Director, IAPMO Business and Product Development, USA.
This was followed by the address by Mr. Sudhakaran Nair, President - IPA. Mr. Nair talked about the various activities & developments of IPA like Train-the-Trainer Programme for Green Plumbing, which was held in Bangalore; Signing of an MoU between IPA, IAPMO-India & Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai held at Bangalore on 14th December 2009; 3rd International Plumbing Exhibition (PlumbexIndia 2010) scheduled to be held in February 2010 at Mumbai; Celebration of the World Plumbing Day (11th March) and Green Plumbing Programme.
Thereafter, Mr. Allen Inlow shared with audience his strong association with IPA and its growth in the last few years. He talked about the Green Plumbing Code Supplement, Revision of the UPC-I and many such projects. He acknowledged the development of IPA and highlighted various agreements that had been signed for PEEP Programmes and also agreements with the CPWD.
It was followed by Mr. Blane Judd’s impressive presentation on “Affordable Plumbing”. It was indeed a great presentation. Further, Mr. R. K. Somany, Chairman - IPAHC and Chairman & Managing Director of HSIL shared his experiences in the field of plumbing. Following it, was a sponsorial presentation by Mr. Sreekantha S. R., Business Development Manager (South India) - HSIL .
The meeting concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Rajgopal Murthy, Secretary of IPABC. The professionals were seen sharing their knowledge at dinner, which was hosted by the sponsors.
